4. ATTAINMENT AND ASSESSMENT:

The committee’s aim is to improve learning and teaching standards across the school, particularly in the areas of general learning and teaching, literacy and numeracy. The committee meets several times a year to evaluate the effectiveness of our initiatives and assess areas of further improvement. For the school year 2017-2018, our aims are:

Presentation guidelines in every classroom and in the journal.

Numeracy

Improve the visualisation of numeracy across the school.

Numeracy related material in every classroom and across the school.

We continually review our initiatives following School Self-Evaluation guidelines.

Currently, the committee consists of:

Seán Ryan, Emma Hackett, Laura Kinahan, Patriona Bolger, Orlagh Ni Fhaolain, Laura Comerford, Ms Cambie-McEvoy, Ms Dympna Kelly, Mr McCormack.
