As Principal of Ardscoil na Tríonóide, I welcome you to our website and invite you to browse the various pages and visit our Virtual Open Day to give you a good sense of the opportunities and experiences on offer in our school and the outstanding rounded education being provided by our experienced, committed and dedicated staff.
Ardscoil na Tríonóide is a voluntary secondary school under the trusteeship of CEIST. We first opened in 2007 after an amalgamation of two previous fine schools Scoil Eoin and Scoil Mhuire. We combine the best traditions of both schools to create a rich and active learning environment with a strong focus on the holistic development of each student and on high academic standards in teaching and learning.
In Ardscoil na Tríonóide, emphasis is placed on the moral and spiritual formation of our students along with their intellectual, social and physical development. Our daily work in school is rooted in the CEIST Core Values of Achieving Quality in Teaching and Learning, Promoting Spiritual and Human Development, Showing Respect for Every Person, Creating Community and Being Just and Responsible.
We offer a broad curriculum at both Junior and Senior Cycle as well as a wide variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. We have an excellent team of dedicated staff both teaching and ancillary whose main focus is to support and enable students to fulfill their potential.
We are supported hugely in our work by our Board of Management, under the chairmanship of Mr. Seamus Taaffe, and our Parents’ Council. We continue to work in partnership with our students, our parents, our local community and the Department of Education and Skills so that no stone is left unturned in helping our students to be the best that they can be.
Yours sincerely,
Imelda Whelan
Principal
