2020 School Bake Off

Ardscoil holds Annual School Bake Off

In-House Bake Off 2020

There was a there was a sweet smell in the air around the 5th and 6th year social area as the contestants for this year’s Ardscoil Bake Off got cracking. The junior and senior competitors are hoping to get a place to represent our school at the CEIST All-Ireland Bake-Off which will take place in early March this year.

The contestants had three hours to bake and decorate a novelty cake. The junior competitors had a free reign to create whatever they wanted. Senior contestants had to design something related to the theme of “Community”. We were blown away again this year by the standard of the work produced.

A team of judges from the school had the very difficult task of picking winners. Marks were awarded under three categories: presentation, taste and texture. All entries will be forwarded for consideration for the final competition. We wish all our bakers every success.

Many thanks to teachers Ms J. Cooper, Ms V. White and Ms R. Willoughby who organised the event and to the parents who supported the students who took part.

The results of the Bake-Off are as follows:

Anna Maguire - 1st Place

Lila Kelly - Joint 2nd Place

Ciara Fitzgerald - Joint 2nd Place

Rebecca A. Dunne – 1St Place

Dervla Glynn – Joint 2nd Place

Clare Cole – Joint 2nd Place

Flora Felix – 3rd Place
